THE Impact Rankings 2019 show how the global higher education sector is working towards 11 of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which include academic freedom policies, efforts towards gender equality, taking action against climate change. The list is led by New Zealand's University of Auckland, while Canada's McMaster University and the University of British Columbia, and the UK's University of Manchester complete the top three. Japan is the most-represented nation in the table with 41 institutions, followed by the US with 31 and Russia with 30. Italy is represented with 10 institutions. See table below.
